2nd SSWB CLINICAL MEETING : NIL RATAN SIRKAR MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, KOLKATA

This meeting was aimed at encouraging the Post-graduate trainees and Spine Fellows to actively participate in clinical case discussions. Various topics ranging from spinal deformity, infection, trauma and spinal tumors were kept for discussion. The meeting was a grand success as it catered to the main objective of the Society, that is to create awareness, interest and knowledge of this rapidly advancing sub-specialty amongst the trainees. The participation and feedback from the trainees was very encouraging. The Executive Committee (EC) Meeting was focused on the planning for the next clinical meeting of the Society at forthcoming State Conference of West Bengal Orthopaedic Society (WBOACON 2015), to be held at Shankarpur, Digha.
Following are the list of the topics and their presenters at this Clinical Meeting:

4. Congenital kyphoscoliosis - posterior vertebral column resection and deformity correction: Dr K. S K Chaitanya, Park Clinic, Kolkata.
5. Neglected Type 2 Odontoid fracture with nonunion : Dr Kiran K Tapal, Park Clinic, Kolkata.
6. Chondrosarcoma of L1 - enblock resection with front back reconstruction: Dr Vignesh Pushparaj, Park Clinic, Kolkata.
1st SSWB CLINICAL MEETING : APOLLO GLENEAGLES HOSPITAL, KOLKATA

This was the first clinical meeting of the Society held at the Auditorium at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata. The meeting was aimed at various case presentations and peer-group discussion amongst the members of the Society. There was an extensive clinical discussion and debate on the topics presented by the speakers and all the cases were critically analyzed from almost every aspect. The meeting was a fruitful academic endeavor and was concluded with a delicious lunch. The various topics which were discussed and their presenters are mentioned as follows:
