SSWB one month short term Spine Fellowship

Spine Socity of West Bengal invites application for one month short term spine Fellowship 2022-2023

Eligibility criteria for the candidate

Must have MCI / State Medical Council registration and have either one or more of the following qualification (s) -- MS Ortho/DNB Ortho/MCh Neurosurgery/DNB Neurosurgery/FRCS/D.Ortho.

Must have demonstrated interest in spine surgery (attended spine courses/meetings, having presentations, publications related to spine surgery, etc)

SSWB membership is a must before starting the fellowship -- he need not be a member at the time of application.

Program Features

Selection based on CV and credentials

Fellowship starts from 25^th November 2023 till 25^th December 2023.

It is a 30 days program and candidate will spend 10 days each on 3 different centers

Allocated Centers:--Apollo Gleneagles Hospital (Mentor - Dr Abrar Ahmed), Kothari Medical Centre (Mentor -- Dr Saumyajit Basu) and Institute of Neurosciences Kolkata—INK, (Mentor – Dr Christopher Gerber / Dr Anindya Kumar Basu)

There will be only one vacancy at a time.

Opportunities for both research and clinical exposure in spinal surgery

Course stipend will be ₹ 45,000 on completing 30 days program.

Certificate to be handed over in SSWB Annual Conference – SSWBCON 2024.

Last date of application 1^st October 2023 and results will be declared by 15^th October 2023

Interview may be arranged, if necessary, date of interview will be declared after 1^st October 2023.

The final decision on selection is the sole decision of the president.

All necessary expenses including accommodation and travel during fellowship will be borne by the candidate himself.

This fellowship is supported by CIPLA Pharmaceuticals.
